Required Java Update

The NPDB uses the latest supported versions of Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption protocols and ciphers suites. Any system needing access to NPDB web applications will need to have a supported version TLS 1.2 or higher enabled and use compatible cipher suites. When accessing the IQRS please make sure to use the most current version of your browser. Using an outdated browser will limit your browsing experience. If you are using a browser that is older and not compatible, you will not be able to access any secure website pages, such as the sign-in page for your NPDB user account. The NPDB maintains the highest security standards possible and meets compliance for the PCI Security Standards Council.

Querying and Reporting XML Service (QRXS): Clients must use Java 8 or higher.

IP Verification

The NPDB provides security enhancements to ensure that your QRXS transactions originate with your organization. This process involves a system that stores IP addresses for computers that you have whitelisted as belonging to your organization. Initially, we will add these computers to your whitelist automatically. Your account administrator is responsible for maintaining this list by signing in to their account.
